THE CAST
VIOLA - Michelle Buck
Michelle is very excited to be performing Shakespeare on Clark for the first time! She is a recent graduate of Millikin University, where she was Gretel in Humperdink's Hansel and Gretel, Cupid in John Blow's Venus and Adonis, and the Narrator in mark Buccie's Sweet Betsy from Pike. Michelle has plans to move to Chicago in the fall to pursue theatre and singing opera.
SIR TOBY - Jim Stott
Jim has been performing in the western suburban area for years. Most recent productions include A Christmas Carol at Oswego Playhouse, and You Can't Take It With You at Bird and Baby Theatre in Wheaton. A resident of Yorkville, Jim is a draftsman by day, and a regular on many stages including Stage Coach Players in DeKalb by night. Jim is happy to be tackling Shakespeare for the first time with this talented cast
FESTE - Kasey Ostarello
A recent graduate of Kaneland High School, Kasey is heading to Ohio State University with the hopes of continuing her theatre career while pursuing a Math Major. She was most recently seen performing the Acid Ref'lux Comedy Troupe at the Chicago Improv Festival's Teen Comedy Fest, and as super herion Vicious Vixen in the original play Vigilance! As Feste, Kasey draws upon her experience in the art of Jesting with the Kaneland Madrigals.
CURIO - Mike Cook
Mike's been involved in theatre for as long as he can remember. Although studying to be an animator, he loves the thrill of being on stage. He has played small roles in Fiddler on the Roof, and How to Succeed in Business, but had his biggest break in the summer of 2009 production of Guys and Dolls when he was cast as Big Jule. Mike is also well known for his imitation skills of various cartoon characters, such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
ENSEMBLE - Kelly Cash
Kelly discovered a love of theatre five years ago. Since that time, her thirteen roles have been as diverse as Laurey in Oklahoma, Juliet in When Shakespeare's Ladies Meet, to Ruth Kelly, RN in Harvey. As a former competitive ballroom dancer, Kelly's talent led her to the role of "Cinderella" in Cindy. This is Kelly's debut with Shakespeare on Clark. where she is understudying the role of Viola as well as performing in the ensemble. She will begin college in the fall to formally study theatre.
SEBASTIAN - Will Burdin
Will has been performing in the Batavia area theatres for seven years, well as performing extensively at Batavia High School. Currently Will is enrolled at Northern Illinois University in the BFA Acting Program. Last Summer he played Theseus in the Shakespeare on Clark's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. He also wrote, directed and appeared in Geneva Underground's production of Johnny's Mars last summer.
MARIA - Lynn Meredith
Lynn has appeared in various roles on stages in Cincinnati, Georgia, Iowa and Illinois. Last season she played Titania, the Fairy Queen in A Midsummer Night's Dream for Shakespeare on Clark, and Penny Sycamore in You Can't Take It With You for Bird and Baby Theatre in Wheaton. Favorite roles include Sylvia in Sylvia, Blanche in Streetcar Named Desire, Caudia in Nuts, and Meg in Crimes of the Heart.
FABIAN -Shayne Dwyer
Shayne is returning to Shakespeare on Clark for a second season. Last year Shayne played one of the Fairies in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Shayne currently attends St. Charles East High School, and is thrilled to be performing again with so many of his family members.
VALENTINE - Matt Heine
Matt has been active in theatre for many years and is happy to be working with the Shakespeare on Clark program. He previously performed in several productions at First Street Playhouse including the roles of Long John Silver in Treasure Island, as Friar John and Sir Capulet in Romeo and Juliet and as the Undertaking in Tumbleweed. Currently Matt is attending Waubonsee Community College.
ENSEMBLE - Beth Kahan
Beth will be a freshman this fall at St. Charles East High School. This is her first performance with Shakespeare on Clark, but she has performed in many community theatre productions. Some of her favorite roles are Anna in The King and I, Chicken in Jack and the Giant, Sandy in The Little Mermaid, and Mrs. Broman in Tied to the Tracks.
OLIVIA - Nikky Prusinski
After her first year at Waubonsee Community College, Nikky will be transferring to Loyola University to pursue her theatre carreer. Last summer Nikky played the role of Flute in A Midsummer Night's Dream. She is excited to return to the stage, and looks forward to each opportunity that theatre and school offer her. When not on stage, Nikky can be found running around backstage doing tech or stage management for shows, and interning at The Metropolis Theatre.
SIR ANDREW - Brian Downing
A junior in the acting program at Northern Illinois Universiy, Brian is heading to Russia this fall for a term of study. Most recently he was seen in A Murder is Announced at Oswego Playhouse and Rosencrantz and Guildensternare Dead at Northern Illinois. Other favorite roles include being a Shark in West Side Story, and Cal in The Art of Dining.
ANTONIA - Christina Fleetwood
Christina most recently in the Bahamas at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, but remains active in local theatre. Some recent plays include The Laramie Project at Theatre on the Hill, and I Only Have Ives for You with GreenMan Theatre Troupe. Other roles have included drumming up a thick Scottish Brogue for Boston Marriage, improvisational Murder Mystery dinner theatre, and 10 years with a national Renaissance entertainment company. She played Josephine in Sombiepocalypse, a short film with the Art Institute in Chicago, and received Best Actress Award as Shen Te in The Good Woman of Setzuan. As a vocalist, she has played an Andrews Sister at the Illinois Governors Ball, and the Little Mermaid in Disney Musical Suite. She has also been invited to join the United Sates Collegiate Choir. She continues her theatrical training with dance classes as well as Stanislavsy, Meisner and Shakespeare course work.
ENSEMBLE - Keith Dwyer
Recent performances by Keith include School House Rock Live, and Holmes on the Range at his middle school in St. Charles. This will be his first performance with Shakespeare on Clark, and Keith is happy to be included in this fantastic cast!
Ensemble Musician - Jenna Buck
Jenna, is sister to Michelle Buck, and accomplished musician and attended Kaneland High School
DUKE ORSINO - Kevin Krasinski
Audience members will recall Kevin's performance of Demetrius in last summer's Shakespeare on Clark production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. A recent graduate of Kaneland High School, Kevin will be attending Northwestern University in the fall. Kevin recently played Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, and Gaston in Beauty and the Beast.
MALVOLIO - Bryan Renaud
Bryan is a sophomore theatre performance major at North Central College, where he was a part of their spring production of Stagedoor. He performs and writes regularly with Acid Reflux Comedy, which was selected as one of ten troupes from across the county to perform at the 2010 Chicago Improv Teen Comedy Fest. Favorite past performances include Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream for Shakespeare on Clark, and Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast.
SEA CAPTAIN - Ryne Dwyer
This is Ryne's second year performing with Shakespeare on Clark. Audience members may remember him as Oberon from last years production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Ryne has always had a love for theatre and has also played Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing. He has been happily married for two years to the show's Costume Designer, and is looking forward to this summer's performance!
ENSEMBLE - Megan Cave
Megan is going to be a senior in high school this fall. She was very active at First Street Playhouse, involved in sever shows there including playing Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. She participates in all of her hgh school shows, and this summer in addition to being the understudy for Olivia in Twelfth Night, she wil be performing in the operatta H.M.S. Pinafore at North Central College.
JUGGLER - Peter Geldes
Peter does indeed Juggle! Swords, Flame, and your standard balls and pins!! A friend of the show populated Dwyer family, Peter has happily joined the band of Gypsies inhabiting the Island of Illyria...in downtown Batavia.
