PAGE Bruce Worthel
This is Bruce’s first show with
Shakespeare On Clark. In April he was Dr. Bessner in the Oswego Playhouse’s
production of Murder on the Nile. In March he was Marvin in Acorn Theatre’s
Bleacher Bums and last December he played Scrooge in A Turn of the Scrooge at
VEX Theatre in Elgin. Bruce would like to thank Julane for casting him, to
Elwood for helping him run lines, and to his wife for everything that’s good in
the world.
DR. CAIUS Brian Downing
Brian is a senior a Northern lllinois University. This is his second season with Shakespeare on Clark.
SIMPLE Marc Proberts
NYM David Rittenhause
Born and raised in the Fox Valley area, David
has had aspiration of being an actor for years.
He is excited to be in his first theatrical production, and hopes to
entertain.
RANDOM Peter Geldes
Peter Geldes is a professional juggler and graced the Shakespeare on Clark stage last year with his skills and a grand finale of fire breather and juggling. From St. Charles, Peter works at the Juvenile Correction Center.
ROBIN Phil Roth
Phil Roth studied theatre at Carthage College in Wisconsin and is currently employed at All Dressed Up as Chencelor of Cummication and Change. Recently Phil was assistant stage manager for EvergreenTheatre Ensembles production A Voice of My Own.
KISS AND TELL NELL Laura Dwyer
Laura Dwyer has costumed the past two Shakespeare on Clark Productions, as well as played a fairy in Midsummer Nights Dream. She is the The Countess of Costumes (lead costume designer) at All Dressed Up Costumes and a make-up design artist.
MISTRESS FORD Lynn Meredith
Lynn is excited to return for another season with Shakespeare on Clark. She has performed the last two summers as Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Maria in Twelfth Night. Recently, she played Fioria in Time of the Cuckoo, Catharine in Suddenly Last Summer (Catharine) with the OswegoPlayhouse, and Penny in You Can’t Take It With You with Wheaton’s Bird and Baby Theatre. She writes features and news for a local paper and practices yoga as often as possible.
MISTRESS QUICKLY Sheri Storer
Sheri has actually performed in every one of Shakespeare's plays, if you count her involvement in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). If you don't, it's her first time since high school, and she couldn't be happier to share the experience with this talented cast, particularly her boyfriend Chris (her favorite partner for all theatrical adventures). She thanks Julane for the opportunity, and her friends and family for their support."
FENTON Kevin Krasinski
This is Kevin's third year in Shakespeare on Clark. He debuted with the cThisompany two years ago as Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and he returned last year to take on the role of Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night. More recently Kevin has been a member of the chorus for Northwestern University's productions of both Magic Flute and Street Scene. He also competed this year's Chicago Area NATS competition, taking first place in his division and earning the opportunity to sing on WFMT, Chicago's classical music station.
JUSTICE SHALLOW Jason Duhamel
Jason is making his first appearance on stage, and
is a bit nervous about it!When not
protecting the town from vagabonds and rascals, he safeguards the internet from
hackers as well as those pesky cyber thieves.. He is attending Depaul in the
fall to continue his studies, so he may be better equipped to protect your
computer.
WAGON WHEEL WILLY Mike Cook
Mike was a part of last season’s Shakespeare on
playing the role of Curio in Twelfth Night.
He has been active with Oswego Playhouse, performing in A Christmas
Carol (Young Scrooge/Fred) and Miracle on 34th Street (Mara). He has also been involved with Natural Talen
Productions and Gox Valley Summer Stage.
Favorite roles include Big Julie in Guys and Dolls, and the narrator in
Beauty and the Beast. Mike is also a
talented voice artists, recreating many Disney favorites, and was in
consideration to be the voice of Mickey Mouse.
FORD Chris Warren
Chris has appeared in nearly two dozen shows in the two and a half years he’s been involved in local theatre, rendering moot the question “so what do you do when you’re not in a show?” Relevantly, he appeared as Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing and co-wrote the one-act Much Ado About Zombies with some Shakespeare fellow that has been performed at multiple cultural festivals, proving that “culture” is a very poorly-defined term. Chris would like to give a bare-bones thanks to his daughter Natalie and Quickly thank his girlfriend Sheri for playing with him.
SIR HUGH EVANS Matt Heine
A part-time student at Waubonsee Community
College, Matt has been involved with theatre for over five years and has
enjoyed every moment, both onstage and off. He was most recently
seen at the Riverfront Playhouse in Aurora, where he played Azmur in Golem:
The Monster of Prague, and has performed in a number of unique roles,
including Capluet in Romeo and Juliet, Long John Silver in Treasure
Island, and the Undertaker in Sagebrush: The Musical.
This will be Matt's second year with Shakespeare on Clark, after
performing in last summer's production of Twelfth Night as
Valentine.on
SLENDER Ryan Stasell
A film and graphics major at North Central College in Naperville, Ryan was most recently seen on stage at NCC in Elephants Graveyard. He appeared two years ago as Demetrius in Midsummer Nights Dream on Clark Island, and had created the graphics for the last three productions of Shakespeare on Clark.
PISTOL Mandy Barnes
This will be Mandy's first production at Shakespeare on Clark, but she is no stranger to acting. Recently she appeared in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as the March Hare at Steel Beam Theatre, in The Audition at Fox Valley Per. and as Clara in Hayfever at Geneva High School. Her hobbies include sketching, writing, and baking treats for her family and her hungry theatre friends. Mandy would like to thank her family for their undying support, her director and all the members of this cast and crew.
RUGBY Kristen Flink
Kristen has worked backstage in a few productions over
the years but will be making her first showing as an actress. She attended
Western Illinois University and graduated with her degree in Biology. She is
currently working as a lab technician, but hopes to one day work as an EMT. She
also enjoys guarding the island against the forces of geese.
MISTRESS PAGE Elizabeth Krahulec
Elizabeth is over the moon for her first show with Shakespeare on Clark! Though new to the Bard’s plays, she has performed in other shows around Kane County like Blithe Spirit (Ruth), The Music Man (Eulalie Shin), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), and others. She is currently studying Communications, Media, and Theater at NEIU. Elizabeth’s other interests include intricate macaroni and cheese recipes, long walks on the beach followed by long piggy-back rides back to the car, and arguing with animals both wild and domestic.
HOST Becky Robbins
Becky Robbins is making her Shakespeare on Clark debut. She has also performed such roles as Queen Elizabeth I, Lizzie Borden, and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Lately, however, her role as a freelance stage manager has kept her backstage rather than on it. She holds a BA in theatre from Carthage College. She lives in Westmont with her husband Turner, whom she is delighted to be acting alongside in this production.
ANNE PAGE Nikki Pruzinski
Nikky
is an aspiring model and actress. She is currently studying Theatre and
International studies at Loyola University Chicago. Because she has been acting
for the past 8 years she has a natural love for the camera and showing off for
it. She enjoys speaking french, poi, playing with her cousins, reading scripts,
running, talking politics and doing spur of the moment activities with friends. Last year Nikki played Olivia in Twelfth Night on the Island.
BARDOFF Turner King
Turner is making his
Shakespeare on Clark debut. Previous roles include Captain Lancey in Translations,Philostratein a Midsummer Night's Dream, and ensemble roles inCyrano de Bergerac,Blood Brothers, ReducedShakespeare, among others. Turner
earned his BAs inComputer
Scienceand Theatre fromCarthage
Collegeand is currently working downtown as a web developer for Obtiva
Corp. He is enjoying the opportunity to share the stage with his wife,
Becky. Despite the many productions they've both been involved in,
this is only the second time they've acted together. When not
indulging in computers or theatre, you'll find him playing games of all
kinds or out at a bar trivia night with friends. He hopes you enjoy the
show and are not bothered by bugs or geese.
