Juggling, Make-Up, Performance......Round Out Your Theatre Skills
Acting provides a framework for lifelong communication skills, and builds a positive, confident self-image. At the Jester's Courtyard, young actors will experience fun, confidence building activities, while learning to tune stage presence. Students will learn stage techniques that improv listening skills, the ability to interact and work well with others, and will reap the rewards of creating programs to share with family and friends. Join us this summer for fun and focused workshops where young actors find a sense of community, while learning valuable skills in small workshop environments.

JUGGLING - Basics and Advanced
Add to your performance arsenal!!! Juggling is fun, exciting, a great way to improve hand-eye coordination, and impress your friends and family!!! Anyone can learn regardless of age or gender. Sign up today and learn how to make the crowds go wild!! Sign up for Basics of Juggling and again for Advanced Juggling Techniques below: Basics of Juggling Classes for three different age ranges In the Basics of Juggling classes, students will learn the simple 3-ball pattern of juggling, commonly referred to as 'cascade.' A set of three bean bags developed for juggling will be included in the cost of the workshop. The first 45 minute session teaches these very basic skills, followed up by a 30 minute session a few days latter to allow students for work at home perfect the skills and then polish off the juggling presentation! The students ages 10 - 17 will do a 15 minute presentation for friends and family at the end of the second session. ADVANCED CLUB JUGGLINGStudents will learn the basic 'cascade' pattern with clubs, and an easy trick or two to impress their friends. Juggling Clubs for each students to take home are included in this program.

Hand On Make-Up Workshops for Stage and Film  BEARDS AND CHARACTERS Ages 8 and up Saturday October 9th 2pm - 3:30pm Students will learn how to create beards and facial hair using crepe hair and liquid latex to create an extremely natural appearance for either stage or film work. Other uses for liquid latex, nose and scar wax and other products will be introduced for create the illusion of warts, extreme noses, and other distinctive character features. Students will receive materials necessary for this workshop inlcuded in the registration fee. Students should bring in their own personal make-up kits for the class. Lead by Julane Sullivan class Min/Max: 10 - 20 $ 30.00  SPECIAL EFFECTS MAKE-UP Ages 12 and up Saturday October 16th 2pm - 3:30pm Learn how to create realistic bruises, burns, cuts, black-eyes and other special effects make-up illusions. This is the perfect workshop for those pre-halloween ideas!!! Supplies to create these illusions will be on hand for this workshop....to create make-up illusions for film, stage or just for fun!
